The Debswana OLDM GM's Charity Walk is an annual charity event which takes place annually in Orapa/Letlhakane, Boteti District. The theme for this year’s edition was ‘’A little Xtra step is a change’’ and was aimed at raising funds towards the GM’s social way projects. These projects are focused on making life brilliant in and around the communities that OLDM mine operates in and create an environment where stakeholders affected by mine operations can prosper sustainably.
The event has previously raised over P5 million and the success has enabled the construction of a maternity ward in Letlhakane Primary Hospital, a state of the art special Education block at Tsienyane Primary School in Rakops and Moeromaoto Clinic.
