Pula Medical Aid Commemorates Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Pula Medical Aid Fund joined the global community on 28 October 2020 in commemoration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Giving a key note address at the event, Head of Finance & Administration Ms. Maitumelo Mphoeng highlighted that the Fund saw it fit to gather in a Covid-19 compliant manner to remember those affected and impacted by Breast Cancer and lives lost to the disease. She stated that as a Fund, Pula Medical Aid has ensured provision of adequate and comprehensive cover for Breast Cancer and other forms of Cancers in appreciation of the level of care and treatment required should a member be diagnosed with the disease. Ms. Mphoeng stressed the importance of self-examination and preventive care benefits.

A moment of silence was also observed in remembrance of those who lost the battle to breast cancer, demonstration of empathy, support and care for the survivors and their families.
