There are four (4) applicable waiting periods for new members:
- Maternity - 9 months
- Specialised/Limited dentistry - 12 months.
- Pre-existing conditions- 24 months.
- Infants not registered within 30 days of birth - 3 months.
The above waiting periods may be subject to review at Underwriting for any new applicant who has been a member of a recognised medical aid provider for a continuous period of one (1) year and joins Pulamed within three (3) months from termination of previous cover.
